These features are being prepared for our next release and are not yet available in the public app.
Personal cards, weight-free mode and companion preferences will be free. Choose what you see and leave out what you do not need.
Free breathing, grounding and reflection sessions will offer one, three or five minutes, with room to pause or stop.
Compare two complete weeks of saved activity and explore a weekly schedule for free. Saving and using an editable schedule will require Premium, safety review and confirmation. It will never start a fast automatically.
Most people don't quit fasting because they lack discipline. They quit because the app kept asking for more on the day they had least to give.
Fasta is built the other way round. Some days it tells you to go gentle — and counts that as a good day too.
Six stages, six colours — the same model the app runs against your live timer. Scroll and watch the hours pass.
| Reaches at | Stage | What is happening |
|---|---|---|
| 0h | AnabolicDigesting | Your body is breaking down and storing nutrients from your last meal. Insulin is high; you are not yet burning fat. |
| 4h | CatabolicSwitching fuel | Glycogen stores begin to deplete and your body slowly switches from sugar to fat for fuel. |
| 12h | Fat BurnBurning fat | Insulin is lower and your body may rely more on stored fuel. |
| 18h | KetosisKetones rising | Ketones may begin rising, which some people experience as steadier energy. |
| 24h | AutophagyCellular cleanup | Your body may increase cellular recycling processes during longer fasts. |
| 48h | Deep FastGrowth & repair | Beyond the one-day axis above. Extended fasting is advanced — break gently and avoid pushing without medical guidance. |
Start at 12:12 or 13:11 if fasting is new — you sleep through most of it. Move up to 16:8 when it stops feeling like a stretch.
The ring keeps running on your Lock Screen, in a Live Activity and on your Apple Watch. Water and weight are one tap each.
After a handful of fasts, Fasta reads your pattern and starts suggesting the window that fits the day in front of you.
Captured from the shipping build, not a designer's mock-up.
One ring, one number, one next step. The stage name under the timer tells you what your body is actually doing right now — not a vague progress bar.

Each plan says plainly what it asks of you and which stage it reaches, so you can choose on evidence rather than on ambition.

Recent fasting load, hydration and how long you've been at it turn into one score out of 100 — and a suggestion sized to the day, which is sometimes shorter than the plan.

Ask why today is hard, when to break the fast, or how to refeed well. It answers using your own history, on a compatible iPhone, powered by Apple Intelligence. Android offers local coach-style summaries.

Not a leaderboard, not a feed. Just the honest shape of your last 365 days, and the totals that prove the habit is real.

Fasting is intimate data — when you eat, what you weigh, how you felt about it. The safest place for that is the phone in your pocket, so that's the only place Fasta keeps it.
There is no Fasta account, and no Fasta server that receives your fasts, weight, water, measurements, mood or reflections.
No ads and no third-party advertising analytics in the app. This website loads no third-party scripts or fonts either.
Data lives in the app's private sandbox for as long as the app is installed. Delete individual records, wipe everything with Delete local data, or just uninstall — there is no server copy to chase. The full privacy policy sets out retention and deletion in detail.
